Hope not. I received a package from the Zootman yesterday and inside was some of the most beautiful wood I've ever seen. I ordered a set of Waterfall Bubinga from Bob, and it's spectacular. A fellow Texas luthier happened to be coming by, so I left the wood out just so he'd see it. He absolutely flipped. He kept oggling the stuff until I became a bit nervous.

(You might be receiving an order from this guy Bob, if you have any of the Bubinga left.)

Anyway, as always, Bob's prices are fair, and the wood / service is top-rate. Thanks again, Bob.

Steve

Steve...I did the same thing when I received mine. I propped it up in the living room and just admired the hypnotic beauty if the swirls for days. I hated to have to retire the set to the sticker shelf.

Zootman has stuff I've never seen the big suppliers offer...and always at affordable prices.

I can only imagine what he'll come up with next once he has the new bandsaw up and running.

Hey I just got an equity line on my home so I can start ordering again! I am addicted to the Zoot! Is there such a thing as Zooters Anonymous? Bob, you may have to start putting warning lables on the boxes ( like the cigarette people) " contains serious zootwood...may be contageous and require financial assistance/counseling" I know I am hooked !

Hello David...and welcome to our group counseling session. You've taken the 1st of twelve steps in dealing with your addiction. Now let's go around the room and have all the other addicts introduce themselves to David. Steve, would you like to go first...

Hi my name is Ron.
I am a zoot addict. I am not allowed to go near the zootman's site. As it is harmful to my credit rating. I, too, have been known to spend hours looking at and deciding on which beauties to call my own. I have made the paypal connection. I have spent the family fortune on ZOOT!! I can't seem to get enough. I know now that I need help to overcome the dreaded zoot addiction that is running rampant on this forum. I will overcome. I will be able to buy more zoot at a later time. Don't tell any one OK?? It will be our secret, right?? (my next shipment is in the mail, yippee can't wait.) Keep it coming, Bob.

Well, Ron beat me to it. But it seems to have done him some good, so let me have a shot at it.

Hi, my name is Steve, and I love zoot.
My wife keeps telling me that I have enough wood, and for the most part I agree with her. I can go for weeks without a wood purchase. Then I get these notices for the latest "sale" that the zootman is having, and I lose my composure. It's not an everyday sort of addiction. I stay clean for a while. Then I fall off for sure. If I am able to resist the Quilted Sapele (and I am proud of that resistance), then Bob goes and throws some Waterfall Bubinga at me. What am I gonna do?

Hey, instead of searching for a cure for chronic zootism, how about opening a place for the hopelessly addicted to gather? The walls would be lined with zoot of all descriptions for all to touch and admire (a "petting-zoot"?), and it would serve food at tables made from zoot at which the afflicted would sit on snakewood chairs. Of course, the servers would be beautiful (or handsome), and it would be called "Zooters."

I am kind of proud of my addiction. Steve if I had your resolve (with regard to the quilted sapele) I would be kicking myself. That is FINE stuff.

I think a "petting Zoot" and girls with "big Zooters"is just the thing for a seriously zoot infected human. I hope it's legal...ya never know these days. A club and meeting place sounds terrific! Then we can let it all zoot out...

I think you guys are hilarious!

John as soon as I clean up the mess I've made getting everything hooked up I'll take some pic's. I havn't cut with it yet but have started it up and it runs very smooth and quiet. Very nicely made machine.

"Petting-zoot". I like it!
Bob, the Pink Ambrosia is a'comin. It's had to take a back seat lately to other projects, to wit:

Income Taxes

Mold Making

Tele Finishing (sorry about that)

Double-Checking Income Taxes (really sorry about that)

And then, kicking myself for not buying the Sapele, whilst simultaneously patting myself on the back for snagging the Bubinga. It's a real aerobic workout, for sure.

By the way, the Bloodwood looks great against that maple!

I think the main problem with 'zoot' is the beauty of his woods.Down deep it's not the thought of building another beautiful guitar. The wood's sensous curves, the erotic way the..OOPS- disregard
